Home is where she was
Crystal Rock-Jepson was wonderful. She was kind, funny, whip smart, loving, meticulous, deliberate, and a thousand other adjectives that poorly paint you a portrait of her. She was a published scientific author, a teacher, a fantastic cook and baker, a self-taught seamstress and DIYer, an avid reader with wildly varying musical tastes. She was my very favorite person in this world, and she made it a better place.
I’m working on building this website out.
It’ll be a monument to Crystal- the closest to an obituary that we will get. It’s not that we couldn’t go publish an obituary if we wanted. Think how impossibly limited a few scant paragraphs would be in trying to capture how much she meant to me, to us- to everyone who knew her. I can’t boil Crystal down to an obituary anymore than I could recreate Starry Night on an Etch a Sketch. I want to shout to the world how much this woman meant to me- but me being who I am, I think a website is a better way.
I’d also like to try to use this as a place to talk about Autumn. There are a lot of pictures of her on this site with Crystal- but I want to try to respect her privacy as a whole person, and will likely not post many pictures of her individually. However, I may try to post updates about her here, periodically.
Pardon the dust, grab a tissue, make yourself an old fashioned, and help me try to keep memories of Crystal alive.
